For yet another year – that’s eight now! – TRAM and Articket have again joined forces to bring culture to those who use public transport in Barcelona. We have signed a new agreement that will set in motion a whole calendar of actions over the next two years to give visibility to the exhibitions of the six Articket museums on board the TRAM: CCCB, Fundació Joan Miró, MACBA, MNAC, Museu Picasso and Museu Tàpies. Here we explain more about it!
A cultural journey through the city… on rails
In September we’ll kick off with a new tram vinyl campaign, starting with the dissemination of the exhibition Antoni Tàpies. The Imagination of the Worldat the Museu Tàpies, that will feature on the Trambesòs until the end of October. Other fascinating exhibitions, such as Miró and the United States at the Fundació Joan Miró, Rodoreda, a Forest at the CCCB, the Project a Black Planet. The Art and Culture of Panafrica at the MACBA or the proposals from the MNAC and the Museu Picasso which will unfold throughout 2026.
With this collaboration, TRAM will show the museum exhibitions on the trams, and also through its social media and other media sources. All of this with the aim of making art a stop on the daily journeys of thousands of people, bringing them closer to the exhibitions on show at Barcelona’s best art museums and inviting them to come and experience them.

Articket: the passport that makes it possible
ArticketBCN is much more than a ticket: it is a cultural passport that offers preferential access to Barcelona’s six main art museums with a 45% discount over 12 months. Its passport format and experiential approach make it a unique gift, and the best way to rediscover the city through its museums.
This same desire to open the museum doors is reflected in the agreement, which also considers the provision of spaces to TRAM for organising events in the Articket museums at a time of special artistic significance; the 50th anniversary of the Fundació Joan Miró.
TRAM, the most highly rated public transport
TRAM is the company that manages the two tram networks in the Barcelona metropolitan region. The year 2024 ended with an all-time annual record of 35 million journeys, bringing the total to 490 million since the service was launched 21 years ago. A safe and reliable service that, year after year, has positioned the tram as the public transport system most highly valued by users in the Barcelona metropolitan area.
