Barcelona International Community Day is a whole day full of activities, and a fair attended by companies and entities offering services for the international community. ArticketBCN was present as a brand sponsor at this year’s eleventh edition, and was able to see first-hand how Barcelona’s culture and museums are one of its main attractions for newcomers.
Are you setting out on a new project in Barcelona? If you are coming to live here, you may plan to take part in many activities to find out about all the city has to offer, share experiences, network and make new friends. Barcelona International Community Day is the perfect starting point for this, and since we know that the ArticketBCN passport is an essential resource for the most active of newcomers, we didn’t want to miss it.
A talk and 6 top museums to discover
Our day began in room 2 of the Maritime Museum of Barcelona complex where this year’s fair took place. Carla Ventosa, director of communications and audiences at the MACBA, gave the talk “Discover the Best Way to Enjoy Art in Barcelona”, before an audience full of art lovers eager to explore Barcelona’s culture from a new perspective. It was a pleasure to rub shoulders with our potential audience, and tell them first-hand about the Articket project, with its more than 25 years of history!
Carla Ventosa: “With the Articket passport you can discover the world’s best collection of Romanesque mural paintings, enjoy Modernism and let yourself be blown away by the most contemporary art and creation. The universes of Miró, Picasso and Tàpies await, as you embark upon a unique experience at half the price and without queues or delays!”
Different profiles with a clear objective: to experience Barcelona’s culture to the max
During the day, we had the opportunity to talk with numerous people of all different backgrounds, professions and dispositions. Barcelona’s cultural wealth is one of its most outstanding features, and we were there to recommend the Articket passport and the six art museums it includes: the Museu Picasso, the CCCB, the Museu Tàpies, the Fundació Joan Miró, the MNAC and the MACBA.
Are you new to the city and ready for your first induction to its main museums? Or maybe you’ve been around for a while, and want to explore its excellent cultural itinerary in-depth and in your own time? Either way, Articket is the perfect option for saving time and money while supporting and enjoying the local culture.
An inauguration attended by the Articket group
The event’s inauguration ceremony was attended by the mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, the deputy mayor, Jordi Valls, consuls from several different countries, representatives from the European Chambers of Commerce as well as other officials. The manager of the Museu Picasso, Maria Vilasó, attended on behalf of the Articket group, which was the cultural brand sponsor of the day.
